I've gotten mixed reports on whether it increases your odds of arthritis, but it certainly will not make it a certainty that you will. And there's nothing wrong with cracking knucles, and not doing so is often painful.
I figure chiropractors make a living off essentially the same thing, so it can't be *that* bad...
