If you haven't heard of it yet, you are either living in a hole or another country (where I guess the killing of less than 50 people in a far away place may not be news-worthy).

I just read about it. I didn't go to Virginia Tech, but my ex-boyfriend did. I have many happy memories from there. I am shocked and horrified.
Totally unbelievable. I haven't read the news in about 5 hours, but last I saw he shot up the dorm and then 2 hours later did it again somewhere else on campus. How did that happen??
I am curious as to the 'why' but then again, no answers can make up for what happened.

I hope that the government and crime researchers follow up the incident to see if the senseless killing (at least partially) could be prevented. If so, recommend/adopt appropriate measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
@ididak: It goes without saying that we all hope that.
It concerns me that they keep referring to it as a record as if it is something to be beaten by the next one.
