Come now, Q rocked. He was arguably the only good thing in the series premiere. He was also awesome in "Tapestry" and "All Good Things" (the series finale).
Sadly, Wesley Crusher was probably the most annoying character. I say sadly because Wil Wheaton is actually pretty cool (I won one of his tournaments on PokerStars (suck it)). I also find it ironic that he's really the only one of TNG cast that I consider an actual Star Trek fan.
Wesley started off interesting... they just overdid Wesley saves the ship plots and took his character in bad directions. I think he had potential. It just didn't manifest well.
One of these days I'm going to get back into Trek, but it was such an overwhelming part of my personality for so long, I'm scared to touch it. I imagine the treatment will involve some serious netflixxing to catch up, since I missed most of Voyager, the second half of DS9, and all of Enterprise (which I'm grudgingly coming around to the idea of watching).

Although "Q" was pretty freakin annoying too.

I do like Wil Wheaton. Q was annoying, but in a good way. I always like it when he pops up (in the shows and books). He always stirs things up a bit.
Q was amazing. Hugh was on the same level as wesley, and Neelix was by far the most annoying(and repugnant) of all.

No, Neelix was the most annoying. Wesley just got the worst writers.
What the heck? Wesley could not compare to the horror that was Janeway. Weirdos!
