You're right. I've been to an illegal, underground cow fighting ring in an industrial farm complex. That's some brutal shit.

Atleast in a dog fight the dog has a chance to live. Cows that are raised only to be slaughtered do not. With that being said the claim does not say Vick was right. If this was some hick in the middle of no where it wouldn't have mattered. It is not like Vick invented dog fighting. How come when come famus gets caught doing it it is suddenly bad.

pj: It's just that, because he's famous. The media follows famous people constantly, so when they do something bad, of course it'll end up all over the news.

While I feel that the way non-human animals are treated on factory farms heinous, this athlete's knowingly using and abusing dogs in this way takes the disregard for life to an even more obscene level. Yes, the only concern in industrialized farming is the bottom line, but the animals aren't being killed or watched gore each other for pleasure.

I know what happens on farms, and I may change my vote back and forth over time. Generally farm animals live lives of iffy quality and are treated poorly in death, but they aren't attacked by fangs over and over until they lose and die.

They force chickens to lay eggs 24 hours a day in sunless barns in small cages stuffed with a half dozen other chickens, and sear their beaks off so they don't go crazy and peck each other to death. They force feed the other animals until their legs break under their own weight and they cant move.

If that isn't inhumanity then i don't know what is.

well i guess in farms we don't kill for pleasure , i mean if we didn't put it in the farms and feed it it won't be exist at the first place.

Meat farms kill for the pleasure of other's who will pay for that service. The farmers themselves might not enjoy it, but those buying the meat rarely have a pressing medical need to do so, and do so because they enjoy it.

So you're arguing that it's okay to kill things to satisfy a pressing medical need?
