Ditto the above comment. I was very confused when I saw something that looked like a swastika (but probably went the other direction than the Nazi one) mentioned in a Just So story saying that it was a good symbol. I remember, I checked the year the story was written in, and it was long before World War II, which made some sense of it. But many people forget it was a symbol of good before it was a Nazi symbol.
It has been used by many different cultures throughout time and should be representative of positive things. However, I have difficulty seeing beyond its common connotations, especially as presented above.
I wouldn't consider it 'very pretty'. A sunrise can be very pretty or a sunset at the beach can be very pretty. Not the symbol commonly called a swastika.
I can see that it's geometrically interesting, but wouldn't say it's pretty per se. Also, as with Pantalones, I just can't look past the Nazi thing - setting, environment and context of a symbol or image definitely influence the way in which we perceive it to be attractive or otherwise.

It really sucks it was appropriated by such an nasty group of people.

Plus, it's just kind of aesthetic.

I like it because it appears to be in motion.
Especially in a circle. Damned Cats! They should have let the Maus be!

Looks geometrically... basic, to me.
It would be kind of pretty looking, except I can't look past the whole Nazi thing.
