I was very confused when I saw something that looked like a swastika (but probably went the other direction than the Nazi one) mentioned in a Just So story saying that it was a good symbol. I remember, I checked the year the story was written in, and it was long before World War II, which made some sense of it. But many people forget it was a symbol of good before it was a Nazi symbol.
It has been used by many different cultures throughout time and should be representative of positive things. However, I have difficulty seeing beyond its common connotations, especially as presented above.
I wouldn't consider it 'very pretty'. A sunrise can be very pretty or a sunset at the beach can be very pretty. Not the symbol commonly called a swastika.
