While I don't know if the Wii's popularity is sustainable given its lack of software and inferior hardware (which isn't a problem not but probably will be in a few years) it is still damn fun.
Also, it is funny that Sony seems to think (or at least they used to) that no one could find PS3s to buy and Nintendo seemed to think that everyone who wanted a Wii could buy one when both claims were completely the opposite. I think there is a Penny Arcade to this effect.

Saw this emphasized at WalMart the other day.
In france, today (23/03) is the first selling day of the PS3...
No problem to buy it without any booking.
But still no wii after 3 monthes :)
11th April in Ireland. Local store had 7 PS3's in stock (Argo's allows you to check stock in store
Sony may have made a mistake with the PS3 and Nintendo seems to have redeemed itself for the GameCube.
