I disagree with Miles as they are both entertainment devices.
The DS entertains more people and it does it better IMO.
Arguing that they do different things is stupid because they don't do different things, they have different functions but are both trying to achieve the same thing which is entertaining the user.
The PSP isn't as good as the DS at this although it has its moments.
No, my psp has superbad on it, 3 episodes of south park, 80 songs, a customized theme, and kickass games with online, skype, internet radio, what does ds have? 32 bit games, PSP has a 32 bit main menu dude. Ds games r still fun though, but if u dont buy a lot there isn't much to do as with my psp
Plus, with custom firmware you can download psp games for free, as with a ds you would have to buy a 70 dollar cyclo ds or an r4, if you look into it, there really is no competition, the psp wipes the floor with the ds
I dunno, I'm sort of stuck in between I used favor the DS now I'm in love with the PSP (and Sony in general for that matter) I really must say both handhelds are for separate markets and the ability to have all sorts of content on the PSP really is a great reason to get one, plus the PSP has features that the DS can't offer like downloadable content, or even firmware updates (at some point the PSP will have the PSN Friends List) things like these are the reason why Nintendo even made the DSi.

They are different beast: PSP is a playstation 2 in your pocket - a gamers toy. DS is appealing mainstream fun.
My gamer friend who love's his DS would disagree.
I agree with miles, to be honest they are not comparable.
I suppose I voted after translating the claim to something like:
Which is better:
- PSP: Powerful but expensive, fragile, power hungry, conservative
- NDS: Humble but affordable, dependable, innovative and convivial

I like PSP because I'm in love with Luminesce.

thats kind of the point ... if you want all that stuff, why don't you just get a small pc?
