God help us.
I'm beginning to doubt, actually; some of the republicans are doing very well in polls. on the one hand, the dems are throwing a lot of money into senate races; perhaps the coat tails will work in reverse and bring more dems into the polls for the Big Vote, as well. on the other, a lot of people like a split government; it would not terribly surprise me to have a repub. president and a strongly dem. congress at the start of 2009.
