That is a fascinating claim. But I'd need to see research into that. And how we are defining and measuring discrimination.
For example, I suspect that a blind person is much more likely to have a waiter ask their dinner companion what they would like to order than a fat person is, even though there is no reason to suspect that either a blind person or a fat person is unable to speak.
There are so many possible groups that you really need to work out what the terms mean and do countless measuring. I suspect autistics are actually more discriminated against than fat people, as many have been tortured for doing things that are not a danger to themselves or others, but are seen as "weird", and often being weird is not considered acceptable. Many autistics find rocking back and forth, spinning, or flapping their hands to be a very soothing thing to do. Many "treatments" for autism involve physically restraining them when they do that, giving them electrical shocksl, or subjecting them to painfully loud noise to make them stop doing those things. This is doubly bad as a) the punishments are torture and b) they are tortured for using methods of calming themselves that hurt nobody, such that they often have to deal with stress with no healthy coping mechanisms.
You can probably come up with horror stories for fat people, but I doubt it's quite as prevalent. So, statistics needed and careful study.
I'm just saying because mom and one of my best friends and my little brother all "hate on" the clinically obese. I want to see if it's a prevalent pattern.
I have been surprised at how angry people get at fat people. I'm sure there is something deeper at work here, as it doesn't really seem to make much sense that it should excite such passion.
I'm gonna have to agree with this based solely on the fact that I have personally observed this kind of discrimination more than any other. Obesity is something you can find in all types of people. It's so common and easily attacked. Statistically, it might be wrong, but from what I've seen, I'd be awfully surprised.

What about zombies? You never see a benevolent zombie flick - it's all brains, brains, brains.
Well, I have seen a benevolent mummy flick, but I guess you're right about the zombies...
I think I should have said the group of living, not undead human people...
