I *wish* more people would get multilingual but a lot of people do appear to be very lazy. I don't understand that myself... but then that's why I'm a hacker.
It often is possible to get a change in language if you can show a good reason. I worked for a project for BT (big telco here in the UK) in the mid/late nineties that had to get management board level approval for us to use Java. But we did get it.

I think it's time that I embraced my hacker nature.I'm constantly exploring different languages (natural as well as computer) and I get so much out of my explorations.
