Which means that despit the increasing number of users, it becomes harder and harder to get a claim to break 100 votes, or even the 25 needed to be "featured"

From which period? I remember a spell where I was thrilled to get the 10 votes I seem assured of getting with every claim I make this week.
hm. Jason might even have access to the data to know for sure. now, if only we can tempt him to share...
BB: I think that's mostly because you have more contacts, and thus more people who see your claims when they aren't in the most recent 10. But they get pushed off the front 10 so fast, and there are so many old ones to get through, that they ar eless likely to be voted on later. in other words, you particular ability to get to 10 -- maybe even 20 -- is increased, but in general fewer (by which I eman a smaller percentage) get to 100, or even 25.
that's my thinking, anyway. of course, server log or DB-backed statistics would be better than guessing.
Vynce is right. I'm having to consider changes to the way I use Jyte in order to keep following it.
I used to follow everybody. Now I don't. That's a shame.
seven months later, and i still don't have real data. but with Oscar silent, and the devs not doing as much, i'm guessing i won't get them soon.
i guess i could set up a spy scraper...
oh, and "featured" isn't just 25 votes any more.
