Scientology should not be granted the status of a religion.

If they want to declare their organization a superstitious scam, I say let them.

But seriously, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be considered one while, say, the Catholic Church should.

well, they certainly get away with legal shenanigans by virtue of their "church" status. that should be stopped, whether by changing the legal status of churches, or by changing their legal status as a church i am unsure.

I would recommend the former.
