Hydrogenated oils are also known as trans fat: what makes donuts and french fries super bad for you.

Strangely enough, naturally ocurring ones aren't so bad. I wish that people would concentrate on partially hydrogenated oils instead of trans-fats.

I like butter, and I like it in baked goods. Baked goods that have had all their trans fats removed by removing all the butter from their preparation don't taste very good.

I don't normally consider the presence of hydrogenated oils in determining what to eat. Yet, if this information were somehow present on a menu, I would most certainly be (1) more educated on wtf these oils are, and (2) probably avoid these food items.

Because many others would share in my course of action, this particular food/ingredient would gradually be weaned from all menus in participating restaurants, causing the United States to lose over a billion pounds as a whole.

Of course it could just turn into another "Whole Grains" spectacle.
