Typically, a PD day for me is yawning through some top-down initiative that isn't even really backed by the top but which will look good on paper when someone does an audit of what PD we've done. About 90% of it is recycled BS using whatever the latest acronym craze is. Another 9% of it is state-mandated (Right To Know annual boosters, anyone?) And maybe 1% of it is coincidentally useful.
Um. Yay. Paid to stare into space today as the roots below my feet grow. You know: alternatively, I could be going about either my job in the first place, or at least I could helpful in selecting the PD that's actually right for me.
