Just because the media or politicians say something is bad doesn't make it so. Just because they say its "harmless" doesn't mean that it is.
There is plenty of easily accessible information out there. Educate yourself. Find the truth, and find the bias. The world will be that much more interesting if you do.
An interesting point--had many of us paid attention to what was going on before we went off to war with Iraq, there might have been enough of us saying "hey, wait, no" before we went in to cause some of our politicians to argue it.

Jaime you are correct, but educating oneself takes discipline and effort. Sad to say but many people in our country today are to lazy for that, and are always looking for the easy way out.
I have to agree with fd on this one.
I love that the implication here is that if you're educated on the issue, it's suddenly acceptable to jump on the 'popular' bandwagon, instead of making use of the education one has.
actually, educating yourself after jumping on th popular bandwagon is a lot easier.
i mean, unless you want an objective, factual education.
