Taken as a grammar question the answer is yes, absolutely.

Taken as a parenting question the answer is more of a maybe, though I now look back on our parents-of-only-child days in much the way I look back on our childless days.

if i asked someone "do you have kids?" and was told "no" and later found out that they had one child, i would feel i had been lied to.

the implication in casual english is "any kids" not "specifically plural kids".
