Don't get me wrong, the small grocery stores have a certain place in my heart. And the Alberta Co-op is just 7 blocks away from where I live. But they don't have anywhere near the selection, especially for one such as myself who feeds upon the products of Kingdom Animalia.
QFC is open 24 hours, they get my vote. Though any grocery store open 24 hours is awesome. Also if Costco is in the running (its not just a grocery store) I would rate them highly...
Oh, I have been to Wegmans; I'm originally from Ithaca, NY. New Seasons is better. Not quite as big, but the produce, cheese selection, and bakery are superior at least to what Wegmans had a few years ago.
I can see your point that most Wegmans don't have superior cheese selections. Their flagship store in Pittsford Plaza in Rochester however, goes above and beyond...and their produce is incredible.
I will need to check out a New Seasons though and see what I might be missing.
Trader Joe's and Wegman's are both great, but for different reasons. Both have great selsctions, but Wegman's certainly has more to offer. My wallet prefers Joe's.

New Seasons is excellent, but I like People's and other coops better

I'm going to have to kick the prize out to Trader Joe's on this one guys.

I agree with you Ryan, I'm a longtime Trader Joe's fan!!!!I'm going to have to kick the prize out to Trader Joe's on this one guys.
Hahah.. I double clicked on accident. Slick...
People's got it beat by a bit at least.
Who?
I agree with Ryan on this one.
Go co-op, not corporate. New Seasons likes to give lip service to sustainability, but their parking lots and desire for growth display otherwise.
People's is great.

You have obviously not been to Wegmans.

I cant go to New Seasons right now and get fixins for s'mores...
Yeah, Wegmans was nice for being open 24 hours.

If it were the best grocery store ever, it would be within walking distance of my residence.
I don't think anyone has mentioned a single grocery store in any of the comments that I have ever heard of. Ever.
