Two 5 1/4" floppy drives, (one to boot, one with apps), orange screen (that is, black screen, orange text :P), some absurdly small amount of memory, and I loved every minute of it.
At the time I didn't know enough about computers, so I can't be sure, but I think my first was a Digital Rainbow 100. I know everything ran from 5.25" floppies. If I'm right about it being a DR100, it could do CP/M-80 on the Z80 or CP/M-86 or DOS on the 8086. It had glowing green text...like my terminal.

I had a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k. A powerhouse of a machine in it's day. Still works too.
I had a UK101 which I've commented about on the "my first computer" claim.
HP 34c
My (second hand) BBC Micro B didn't had a hard drive. Nor did my Commodore 64.
In five years new computer users will be saying that again.
I had a ZX 81, a MSX and a Commodore Amiga. All without a hard drive. For an huge amount of money I bought a external SCSI hard drive for my Amiga.
Sigh.
technically it was my dads puter, I was 7, it just had a 5 1/4 floppy, woohoo!!! Go StarBlaster

I strongly dislike when people say/write 'puter' instead of computer. It was really more of a terminal my dad used to telnet into work, and I was 5, so I don't remember anything else about it.
