There should not be absolute truths. I would say, depends on the beholder and at a specific given time. I would say "Life is good" is as wrong as "Life is bad".
Life is a gift that cannot be brought unless by a prostitute maybe? anyway every minute of life is a precious gift and I believe that we need the bad times to teach us not to take all the good things that we do have for granted. I treat every minute likes theres no tomorrow.

I'm sure its not just suffering... if you hadn't had the good times well then you wouldn't know what suffering is...
there would be nothing to compare it to, in which case you've had a few good times...
Of course we all 'expire' as you put it... but I would hate to live forever... that would only make the suffering last longer...
