Ladyfriend is a non-loaded version of "girlfriend", but "manfriend" just doesn't feel right.

"Guy friend" or "Male friend" serve this role aceptably, and "Gentleman friend" has been heard, though is it somewhat less nimble on the tongue
'Gentleman friend' is (or was) common usage.
What about manfriend?
"Gentleman friend" ain't half bad.
Gentleman caller is actually the equivalent, and is usually used by the same 50+ southern or black set.
