It's not a fair competition. Humans are born less developed. A newborn baby is a bit weird looking. They need a bit of time to really grow into their cuteness... or you need a bunch of hormones making you think babies are cute.
Yeah, and babies really aren't that cute. They start to become cute around the toddler stage, which is also roughly when you'd expect them to become cute. Afterall, most mammals can do the basic walking around thing shortly after birth.
Cats rarely live that long in the wild. Totally outdoor cats tend to die younger. Just as humans don't naturally live to 80. We get most of our bonus life from improved nutrition, sanitation, and safety.
However, it is true that lifespan among mammals seems to be fairly balanced. Cats die sooner, but their metabolism is much faster.

Sorry, as cute as kittens are, I think at least my kid is even cuter. And I used to own a kitten/cat... But then again, I have a biased point of view.

Hmm...
The claim says baby humans, not newborn babies. There is a difference.

In relative terms all is equal, given a cat lives 15 years and we 80.

Some newborns are actually cute Rachel and babies can be cute too. A toddler is a whole different catagory.
Kittens fall into catagories and it's difficult to get them to come out. I state this categorically.
