Tarantino's tribute to this classic has captured the aesthetics of killing and the clothing, but the rest of the poetry was lost in the translation.
It's like doing a tribute to only the first half of Death Proof :P

I do not know "Lady Snowblood", but IMO the "Kill Bills" were about 2 1/2 hours too long.
Lady Snowblood is awesome. But don't dismiss a great piece of cinema. Tarantino is very open about taking themes from other movies.
