In general, yes. It does depend on specifics. Some births, especially those with complications can be more painful than some/all kidney stones. On average, yes, as best as can be measured.
i don't know about kidney stones, but my labor was very painful... 25 hrs of labor, 2.5 hours of pushing... I know my gallstones aren't as painful as labor, but then again, I can't compare it to kidney stones.
I've had 3 kids, two breech births, one I was in HARD non-stop labor for 14 hours, one was a c-section where they had to cut from my belly button all the way down. And yes, the kidney stones are more painful than all of that!
