Here's a prototype for a custom Jyte search engine: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/HHWdLNS72xGDcEzQ0kqv4w/

It doesn't handle searching for more than one tag at a time methinks...

Got a working prototype for a (non-Jyte) RSS-feed-to-Web-badge pipe working, Technorati Search, via Yahoo! Pipes.

Can pipes pull tags off RSS feeds as individual strings, or does that still require hacking?

Not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if you can filter output to only include certain tags?

Oh, hey: here's how to use Pipes to grab any RSS feed and badge it up on your site.

I need to read up on how tags work in RSS. Are they part of the content, or are they metadata, or does it depend on the feed?

I guess I was wondering if I could just grab the tags independently of the feed content. Would that require a separate recent tags feed, or can they ride along with the content such that my rss/atom reader knows that they're tags?

I've been trying to make a Jyte through Flickr pipe, but am failing. Anyone here a ForEach:Annotate pro?

It just says "Array" instead of inserting the flickr images.

Here's a new toy, Badger:

Recent Claims on Jyte

Badger uses Pipes to grab the arbitrary RSS feed of your choice and turn it into a Web badge.

Brian: I couldn't get it to work with annotate either, but I did one
that just does a replace and merges it with the original feed. Hint: if we had a pipable source for text tags, that could be fed directly into the flickr module.
