Jyte should use the most popular capitalization for a particular tag

By 8 Vynce on March 08, 2007

same goes for claims, though a case could be made for preserving the user's original choice on interests.

(it should be fairly easy to preserve a count of how many times each capitalization gets used, and show the most common. this might have interesting trickle effects into their DB's referential integrity, if they use such...)

Ugh, that sounds like a pain in the ass to code for a tiny benefit.

Also, I don't construe it as a benefit. Capitalization has semantic value.

D'Archangel -- you'd prefer what, then? keeping the capitalization independant for each appearance fo the word?

Yes; jyte should preserve information when possible. This introduces noise, but that's better than dampening signal.

Jyte should preserve whatever capitalization a user chooses to use, regardless of consistency with other uses.
