Isn't it based on the Mozilla/XUL codebase anyway? That runs just fine on Linux.

Yeah, based on.
I got a partial install via Wine and saw all the Mozilla stuff. Hacking a Linux Mozilla client, and Joost together I have no idea if it's possible, they might use some proprietary libraries for their magic which only work in Windows/OSX.
I feel so excluded.
