It would be neat if jyte could automatically group claims that have similar structure.

For instance, suppose there is the claim "The Princess Bride is a good movie." and a similar claim "Mystery Men is a good movie." There should also be a group of claims called "Good Movies:" with an entry for "The Princess Bride" and "Mystery Men" (and vote buttons for each).

In other words, for any claims of the form "<noun phrase> is/are [a] <adjective phrase>" where the adjectives match, there should be a group of claims titled "<adjective phrase>s", and listing the noun phrases by themselves, formatted as claims.

Some claims might need a bit of manual help to describe what the noun phrase is. For instance, "Bread is on my shopping list." and "Eggs are on my shopping list." doesn't sound right when it turns into "On my shopping lists:". Instead, it ought to be "Items on my shopping list." Someone will need to manually supply the word "Items" (or "things" or "groceries").

Other forms exist as well, "I like <noun phrase>." could become "<noun phrase>s that I like:" or "I would <verb phrase> <noun phrase>." could become "(things/people/whatever) I would <verb phrase>."

This might draw the focus of jyte away from creating interesting singleton claims towards creating interesting lists, like "Political leaders I would vote for:" or "Things is dislike:" or "Websites I regularly visit:", etc..

It would probably be a lot less clumsy to just implement lists as being separate from claims. For instance, a user might create a list called "Movies that I like:", and anyone can add entries, and agree or disagree with an entry's inclusion, and this would be entirely separate from claims.

I was trying to think of a way that lists could make use of existing claims, rather than starting from nothing. The English language being what it is, there's probably not a good, user-friendly, non-clumsy way to implement it that doesn't involve a lot of quirky rules, or expect claims to be formatted in some exact way.

See the inspiring claim for a basic description of collaborative lists, which I think would be a cool thing to be able to do on jyte.

*shrug* i think grouped claims are a good and interesting idea, less like lists and more like the claim.

of course, i also think we should get way more "similar claims" than we do.
