I think that this is what anon meant to say (as a positive and not as a negative). See the inspiring claim for any questions.
Regardless of the point he was trying to make in his claim (which I don't entirely comprehend), I am not saying that it is necessarily or inherently wrong to hold the door open for a woman merely because of her gender. I'm only saying that it is sexist.
Let the pedantry commence!

It helps if she's cute
Well, that may not be sexist, Atom Dude. It may just be shallow. "I held the door open for her because she is cute" strikes me as pertaining more to "lookism" than to sexism.
I tend to hold the door open for anyone about to pass throught it immediately behind me regardless of gender, age, pregnancy, or whether or not they speak Erdu.
+1 with CB
Tad, you and I both know that for you it's the Erdu thing...
A quaint and rather nice kind of sexist though.
You're right, CB; I only hold the door open for people who speak Erdu.
Tad, I suspect you've never held the door for a person who speaks Erdu in your life. I think you have a problem with Erdu speakers. Why don't you just man up and admit it?
Okay, fine, I have a problem with people who speak Erdu. I hate them with a fiery passion. I throw stones at them and hiss whenever I see them.
What is "Erdu," anyway?
Though it's spelled differently here, it's the official language of Pakistan.
