It bothers me that the Bay Area has the most expensive gas in the country.

50 cents higher than the average cost of gas for the country is ridiculous, should be considered price gouging, and should be investigated.

Nationwide, the highest average price for regular gas was $3.10 per gallon in San Francisco. The lowest, at $2.22 per gallon, was in Anchorage, Alaska.

The national average was $2.66 as of Sunday.
