Claims that he's committed any impeachable crimes are debatable. Being an idiot with little regard for human life and no skill at international relations is neither a high crime nor a misdemeanor.
Even being a Bush supporter, I had always been skeptical about what they were doing with this, until I read the above link. Now, I agree with it. It looks like they are not breaking the law.
While I would like to see George W. Bush (who I assume you were talking about) out of office. Do we really want to see his VP take over the job?
Our best bet is to just wait it out and count the days till someone new can take over. (praying he doesn't screw the country up too much in the mean time)
Daniel has a decent point, but there are several members of Bush's staff (Cheney, Rove, etc) that have passed bills that revoke so many of our liberties that I think a lot of them honestly need to be tried for treason. I'd like to see them all deported for crimes against the American people.
Habeas Corpus is dead. As per the Military Commissions Act of 2006, the president has the right to declare any US citizen an enemy combatant (who can be tortured as outlined in that bill). Not only that, but the president has the right to declare and clarify the definition of "enemy combatant".

On what legal grounds? The New York Times would have scoured the country looking for reasons to impeach Bush, and would have crowed long and loud if they ever had anything to run with.
I think a case could be made that misleading the country into war is treason. And of course Cheney would have to be impeached first. In any case, it's not going to happen, but I wish those assholes that have driven our country into the proverbial ditch were held accountable for their crimes.

Curious, I read the above link and came to the opposite conclusion.

The Right Brothers song "Bush was right" is truly punk in a way modern punk isn't.
Because it makes a statement truly removed from the most middle of the road common, and evokes strong emotions by its political message.
Daniel hit the nail on the head.
