There's actually a line of sight from the toilet in our upstairs bathroom, through two doorways, and a window, to the townhouses across the street.

Usually, but sometimes when taking a bath I do not close it fully, so I can let steam out or music in.
Yes, because I have dogs who tend to intrude at annoying times.
I pee freely.
"bathroom"? "toilet"?

Bog, closet, throne, jazz, latrine ....
That's better.
In fact there's a problem with this claim: "using the bathroom" potentially describes a number of activities. In some cases I would leave the door open, in others no. And for sound reasons.
By using the bathroom I meant using the toilet...although it would apply to any use including showering/bathing.

What? Who said that? I didn't hear because I gave up on this thread already.
It's best to keep any odours contained.
I don't close the door anyways
I don't, but I should do; it should be a thing of habit.
I don't close the door even when people are around. I don't switch the light on at night either.
