I really should've asked Papadimitriou for his autograph. It might've been a little bit creepy, though...

I have a collection of books signed by authors of derivative material. I have a copy of throught the looking glass signed by Neil Gaiman and a copy of Fear and Loathing on the campaign trail '72 signed by warren Ellis for example.

In fact, I own it - the signature - by accident. I am good friends with the author and don't feel the need to collect his signature. However, the only copy in the store of the title of his that I went to buy was a "signed by the author" copy. Ha. I've given thought to having him to try erase it so that I could claim I've had an author take his signature back.
