Morally wrong, as cited by biblical sources...
Unhygienic...(twixt male and female couple alike)
Also, we weren't designed for homosexual conduct.
Think about our sexual organs...
I'm voting disagree based on Ivan's comment that this claim means that the law must recognize same sex and mixed sex couples equally, which I agree with.
Also, because there is nothing morally wrong with it. There is nothing inherently more unhygienic about it than about mixed-sex sex, in fact, mixed-sex sex would generally be less hygienic as it includes every act that same-sex sex includes plus one. And because it is completely natural as homosexual sex is found repeatedly in the animal kingdom throughout countless birds and mammals.
Actually, mainly simply because it is discriminatory not to and what sex people choose to have shouldn't be legislated beyond requiring it to have consent (which includes having it with someone capable of giving consent).
Oh thank you. I had been looking for that passage in the past and had trouble finding it. I keep meaning to mention it as why I am not supposed to go into a temple or church.
Leviticus doesn't apply now that it has been fulfilled by Christ, Christians who find homosexual acts to be sinful based on the Bible are hopefully citing Romans not Leviticus.
i almost voted disagree based on the fact that i believe in gay marriage between a man and a woman
I still don't understand how Christians feel they can throw out Leviticus when Jesus told them not to.
From the book of Matthew:
"You must not think I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to complete them. Indeed, I assure you that, while Heaven and earth last, the Law will not lose a single dot or comma until its purpose is complete. This means that whoever now relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men to do the same will himself be called least in Heaven. But whoever teaches and practises them will be called great in the kingdom of Heaven. For I tell you that your goodness must be a far better thing then the goodness of the scribes and Pharisees before you can set foot in the kingdom of Heaven at all!
So, either Leviticus still applies to Christians or Christians feel that all of the Laws of the Prophets have been completed, because until all of them are completed, all of them must be followed. And if all of them are completed, then why do you need to follow any of them now?
It seems that everyone that is against gay marriage only uses the Bible as their reasoning. From that I conclude that the law should obviously not be based on the Bible because there is freedom of religion in the United States. Religion cannot be used as reasoning for the legality of gay marriage.

By marriage in this claim you mean that the law has to recognize same sex couples and they need to have the same rights as heterosexual couples?
yes
Ok.
Ivan FXS: Why?
I do not know. It's spontaneous aswer.
Why! How reasoned!

SqU1r3, Read the claim carefully. You are arguing about the sexual behavior not the marriage between persons of the same sex.

Bah, the same sources that also discriminate people with disabilities? [Lv 21:17]
Please, don't be such a discriminative bigot.

sadly, Linds, the sound legal reasoning you cited seems to have no place in the anti-gay marriage argument.
