Which isn't to say he's necessarily wrong about what he believes, it's just that he seems to be a little too caught-up in sensationalism for me to accept what he says at face value.

Somebody has to stand up and be sensational for the people that need it, once he gets their attention we can focus on getting them to listen to the non-sensational, and we will truly go somewhere, even if it's not exactly what he intended to do.
He only wants to get rich off it: he's a self serving prick, and if there are any environmental benefits, then it's all good PR for fat Al.
I don't have much patience for sensationalism, especially when it does as much damage to his cause as it does good. Sensationalism just gives global warming denyers a ready excuse stop paying attention (if they were paying attention in the first place) to environmentalists, and label them all "alarmists".
