What is the "religion of love" and what does it have to do with this run of the mill zen beach stones shot? (I was the chief photo editor at a newspaper. your scope of field is interesting, but the subject is close enough to the center of the frame of violate the two-thirds rule, a classic no-no in photography.)

my friend and I had an interesting talk on what is god. god is probably not an invisible man floating in the clouds. it can probably be better defined as the goals in life you set and achieve.
some people talk about god a lot but in the end they do not do anything that the god they conceive of would want them to. if love is a person's god, they should strive to express love in as many actions they make as they can.

as in the sayings that "time is god", "money is god", "government is god"

as everyone has some goals that they work for, everyone has some goals, or by this definition, some conception of god

I've encountered enough religions claiming to be the religion of love with holy texts showing quite clearly that the religion of the god they worship is the religion of smiting the fuck outta anybody who steps outta line to be very skeptical of any religion which claims to be the religion of love.

GRK: right, but the only good thing about the picture is the scope of field, which would suffer greatly if cropped to the point necessary to fulfill the 2/3 rule. The mark of a good photographer is one that pays attention to composition WHILE shooting, as opposed to doing some cool effect and counting on cropping later to "fix" it. That is the hallmark of an amateur.
