I believe all religions lead to the same God.

God is like a mountain top with many path leading to it, therefore all religions share the same fundamental truths.

I don't think Branch Davidianism, beathairianism, fundamentalist Islam, Unitarian Universalism, and Taoism lead to the same truths, much less to the same g-d, whatever that means.

Christ can't be God and not God the same time. I can't die for good or reincarnate the same time. I can't have a God who says he's the only one and some others the same time.

If there is no god, then yes, clearly they all lead to the same lack of god. If there is a god, then who knows? There's absolutely no way to tell. Perhaps there is a god who is happy to lead different people to different places, trying to find out if they prefer the path up to the top of a mountain with a lovely view, or the path to the nice beach, or the path to the forest with its cool shade.

This question although seemingly simple is actually theologically complex. Though from an Islamic theology I find that its complexity is subdued due the first belief of Islam:

"There is no deity save God"

With that said, the premise of this question is correct in that the existence of a deity besides the One is negated.

Therefore, a believer; a disbeliever and a hypocrite despite their religious affiliation are all bound to the decree and judgement of the Creator of the Heavens and Earth on the "Last Day".

In addition, the Muslim would say that: as a result of Prophetic succession - of which include Abraham, Noah, Moses, Jesus and the last being Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of God be upon them) - Islam the last religion of the three Abrahamic religions, is the most developed religious position and most capable as a Guidance to avoid a most miserable afterlife (hellfire). As suggested in the following verse of the Qur'an,

"This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." (5:003)

I am curious to know the opinions of non-Muslims concerning Islam the religion as opposed to a politicized faction. So what do you think of Islam as a religion?

I think Islam is alright, but it fails on the following counts of what I feel makes a religion great:

a) It believes it is infallible
b) It is intolerant of various people who aren't harming others (such as homosexuals)
c) It negatively judges those who don't believe, even though they have no proof

Most Judeo-Christian religions fail these. Interestingly, Mormonism does not fail the last one.

It can be used, as any decent religion should be able to be, as a path that helps a person become a better person. So, it isn't a religion I feel is valueless. But it wouldn't be my choice for religion, were I choosing one.

I don't really think it's better or worse than Christianity, but I don't really know enough to say.

This claim reads really weird from a perspective of atheism:
I want to say something like "all religions lead in the same direction - away from the lack of god"

The most popular gods in the market say "thou shalt not talk to the competition". When you get near the summit, there are many roadblocks.

It all leads to the same god - just differences based on cultural upbringing and geographical happenstance. Read "HERO OF A THOUSAND FACES" by Joseph Campbell.

All religions lead FROM the same god; few seem particularly capable of leading their followers back to Him/Her/It.
Doesn't "religion" come from "re-legio", Latin for re-connection?

Joseph Campbell was a hack. Most people who cite universalism don't really know what they're talking about. There is no universal quality among all human societies except for the physiological ones. There are societies that don't value hospitality in some distant places. There are societies that have no flood myth in Northern Africa. There are societies that don't worship dieties. There are societies that believe history is a cycle and not a time line.
