I spotted a mates van parked in a car park of a DIY shop.

I sat into it waiting for him, a cop knocked on the window, i rolled it down, he asked me name add etc..
then fined me €60 for not waering a seat-belt.

I refused to pay within 60 days it doubled, I still refused & they brought me to District Court.

Today I'd no legal rep, but I cud take one @the door as they say, I reused as they knew nothing so I asked to rep myself..

explained to the judge that

a) I was on private property.
b) I was in the passenger seat.
c) The owner was not in the van.
d) It was parked.
e) There was no key in the ignition.
f) The cop was alone. (he needs another as ind witness, cant issue fines alone)
e) He was not in full uniform. (again a technicality)
f) He spelled my name wrong on the court warrent & the fine.
g) I was not breaking any written law in our constitution.

so judge threw out the case..

HA. He gave you a ticket for not wearing your seatbelt while *parked*? Holy crap! Good work! :)

Ya, if you asked him who cruixcified christ he'd think he was on a murder investigation.
