Flying involves too much waiting.

I gotta get me my own pair of wings.

I once got on a plane, disembarking two and a half hours later having travelled... nowhere. Which is impressive for a half hour flight.
That's not to mention the wating before hand, then the hundreds of people (and minutes) long que for a re-schedule afterwards.

MY parents once made the rather dumb mistake of flying from phila. to DC, which is maybe a 3 hr. drive, and lets just say it took them about an entire day to get there, more money spent, etc.
