I looked into implementing OpenID with F8. It seems like a dead end for now because there is no way for a user-written application to get its own code (like a link) in the head of a page because of the fancy 'deep integration'. That is, for http://apps.facebook.com/mycoolopenid/username I can't see how to embed the link. Someone could make a separate site, say http://example.com/facebook/username into an openid, but it doesn't come with the trust of the real domain name. :( Looks like we are stuck waiting on fb for this.

Can it be implemented through the Facebook Platform? Probably not, but OpenID enabled Facebook would really be nice.

I would consider using "Facebook OpenID App" as OpenID server. What is so great about OpenID anyway? All you do is login to jyte with it. Whoopdee-freakin-doo.

I don't care about Facebook being an OpenID provider; it should allow people to login using OpenID.
Yea, I wish Facebook accepted OpenID as a way to log in (although I wish alot of sites did it) it'd make Facebook one step more on point
