Instead of marriage, the state should recognize "civil unions" between couples (gay or straight), and leave what is or isn't marriage in the eyes of God to religious leaders.Wouldn't that just help them justify the discrimination?
I mean, they discriminated against blacks by arguing that they were more closely related to apes than to men...
Yeaaahhh, that solid proof would just lead to an interesting turnabout in American politics.
