people in most professions or hobbies embrace technology that improves or makes their work easier but for some reason people in artistic areas are considered cheaters for adopting new technology. Did the electric guitar kill music?
I love photography, both film and digital. I've never understood the people who say digital killed the art form. The probably said auto-exposure, auto-focus, etc. would kill photography, too.
No chance, Because film photographers have an extra level of skill that cannot come from digital photography... Yes you do still get the shot with a digital, Yes you can photoshop your pics, but that's not part of the artform of film photography.
Quite the opposite. For those who work within the realm of what's possible in a darkroom, a very similar process is still available. The only difference is that by removing expensive and slow chemical processes, the cost of entry has become much lower and the process of learning has become much easier. If anything it saved photography.

For me, digital photography was the beginning of a new life in photo! Fell free to visit my website in www.joaocoutinho.net

(I have no idea how I managed to accidentally vote on such a terrible claim. I would unvote this one if I could.)
