Ctrl + Tab selects the next open tab in Firefox and Explorer

By 4 Jonathan Schofield on July 24, 2007

Ctrl + Shift + Tab selects the previous open tab.

Rather unhelpfully these shortcuts are not listed within the menus in Firefox on the Mac. As I’ve only just realised this, I thought others might like to know.

FYI - Ctrl + Tab on Linux KDE systems is used to tab between desktops. So unless I change the settings, Firefox tabs won't switch with this trick.

Personally, I always use Ctrl+{#} where {#} is the number of the tab I'm going to. (In Firefox at least)
