Just because I took computer science, does not make me a geek. I know many people who went into the class simply to spend hours just playing on the computer while the teacher rambled on...it's not the class that made me a geek, it's the fact that I know multiple programming languages, can build computers from the ground-up (given the time and money), and can do just about anything that I want to do within half the time of the normal user. I repeat: it is not the class that makes the geek.

Bah. I work with several female engineers. My Mom was a female engineer.
Some of my friends are females with programming jobs.
This is one of the things I most wish would change about the profession that chose me: too damn many white guys. ;>
