There have been questions raised about the meaning of "You" in a claim. I personally have argued that it is probably almost never appropriate in that "I" is clearer in one case and "One" is clearer in the other, but "You" could be take to mean either one.
I don't think any arguments against the ambiguity have been well made, so I think the only rational course is to admit that it is ambiguous.
Which doesn't mean Brian's under any moral obligation to change, of course -- it just means I find my brain getting all twisted up every time he makes claims about you.
