I predict that griefing like this will be drowned out by more legit users, and will be ignorable. There'll probably be more serious cases, like floods of multiple sock puppets, that will need to be addressed - hopefully with something better than meta-meta-meta-cred ;)
Not because he doesn't annoy me, but because banning isn't an effective way to deal with this problem. The system simply needs to take this sort of abuse into account and diminish the impact of his vote, or ignore it entirely.
private groups with private claims are a good start to this, and bobloblaw himself seems to have given up. also, there have been some interesting ideas about this proposed in the few months after this claim. however, the problem still looms.

I agree with Billy and Karl. We'll have to figure out a workable solution to this problem.
+1 for making Jyte robust against nonsensical voters, as opposed to just banning them (an approach which won't scale).
