Blocking a persons claims makes it sound as though I am infringing on their right to claim. Instead, I simply don't want to see their claims.
It's akin to the subtle difference in "dismiss" and "bury." The absence of voting is not a vote for absence.
"Your comments have been blocked by thrity people because you are a jackass."
That's intuitive UI.
