All I want to hear about gay marriage: "yes"

I could stand to hear a little more...

Because it's only when all the arguments are heard, and exhaustively, that we'll make gay marriage stick.

but my point is simply that i'm tired of watching the "civil union" dance, or hearing that they're for equal right but "marriage is between a man and a women." either you're for equal rights, or you're not. if you're not, say it, and say you're against the constitution. atleast have the balls if you're gonna be against something.

I don't think that's so. There's at least some of us out here who hold that marriage isn't any kind of right for anyone, and are still in favor of gay marriage, for example.

And if there's anything my cynicism tells me, it's that imposing a simplistic solution over and above the complex argument will come back to bite us in the ass when it comes to making it happen.

I'm not against gay marriage. I'm against silencing the opposition.

I agree with Bruce. Saying "I know I'm right, and I don't care what anyone else thinks" is never a good thing.

I'll go with Lewis Black's pov on this:
"Don't believe in gay marriage? Don't marry a gay. Problem Solved."
