Agreeing that an argument should end is not a sign of weakness nor an admission of defeat.

If people's points have all been made, but the argument isn't going anywhere, then there is nothing wrong with agreeing to end the argument. You can't always end with agreement, but you can just stop arguing. It doesn't mean you're weak or that you're wrong. It just means further debate is pointless and thus a waste of time and energy.
