Sometimes, sometimes it has the opposite effect. It depends on my anxiety level at the time. If anxiety is high, the inspiring claim is much more apropos.

I've never found metal relaxing. fun sometimes, yes. invigoratingly, though.
Come on V, a good set of head phones and some Sepultura or Slayer cranked up about half volume is soothing to the core. Maybe even some vintage Metallica. Ahhhh
